| Nearly 40 delegates and speakers attended the conference. Ten papers were presented on different aspects of the environmental challenge to the industry. Delegates from across the industry had the opportunity to discuss the issues and get to know each other over the two days and during the Conference dinner. The event finished with a guided tour of the Euramax Coil Coating line nearby. | |

We were unlucky that accommodation had been booked in the Hotel Elizabeth, which suffered a severe fire two weeks before the conference. The kitchen area of the hotel was seriously damaged by fire. With no time to make alternative arrangements, the hotel did their best to look after us. |
